ARCIS SAXOPHONE QUARTET
Tentative date: November 2021

Featured Repertoire: American Dreams - Quartet Version: Reich, Dvorák, Bernstein, Barber, Gershwin

“The Arcis Saxophon Quartet . . . made clear very quickly, that saxophones can take over the part which one is used to hearing by a string quartet . . . The quartet was bubbling over with joy in their playing and created an immense intensity, adapted their playing perfectly to the style of the piece, while staying very homogeneous in their sound.” - Goslarsche Zeitung … “No audience should ever miss out on this young ensemble with such joy in their playing—with perfect instrumental skills: If you heard them once, you will come back . . . A wild explosion of rhythm and colors . . . Their gripping musicality is what makes them outstanding and unique.” - tz München

CUARTETO LATINOAMERICANO
Tentative date: June 11th, 2021

European romanticism gets a Latin twist with Cuarteto Latinoamericano in a program called Mexican Romantic Quartets. These elegant pieces, many of which have never been heard outside of Mexico, showcase all the lush sounds of the late romantics with a special passion that only comes from South of the border. - General Arts Touring. “Cuarteto Latinoamericano's members are three Bitran brothers: violinists Saul and Aron and cellist Alvaro, with violist Javier Montiel. They have recorded more than 80 CDs, including nearly the entire Latin American repertoire for string quartet… They have premiered over a hundred works written for them, and they continue to introduce new and neglected composers to the genre.” - Cuarteto Latinoamericano

Featured Repertoire: Before the Storm: Cowell, Ravel, Beethoven "Archduke"

“The energy was contagious and the way in which each performer communicated with the others was a veritable lesson in ensemble playing . . . Throughout the evening these three expressive musicians, who first got together as students at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, performed with confidence, precision and a masterful ability to capture the subtle expressions in a wide variety of music.” - Peninsula Reviews … “. . . Delphi captured those evocative qualities that one would associate with the best of lyric poetry.” - San Francisco Examiner
