February 2017:  More award-winners coming to CMC

The Tesla Quartet, performing at Chamber Music Corvallis on February 24, 2017, had a THRILLING start to their 2016 season:  a dazzling run at the 2016 Banff International String Quartet Competition, winning:

  • 2nd Prize, including a cash award and a fully-funded residency at The Banff Centre’s Music program
  • the R.S. Williams & Sons Haydn Prize, for the best performance of a Haydn quartet in Round 1
  • and the Canadian Commission Prize, for the best performance of the new quartet performed by all competing ensembles.
Click HERE to read a heartfelt note of thanks directly from Tesla Quartet!  After their success at the Banff Competition, the quartet began a year-long tenure as the Marjorie Young Bell String Quartet-in-Residence at Mount Allison University.

Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube!
